1. Who we are

Family Duuo is provided by Omerion Studios AB (“Omerion Studios”, “we”, “us”). Omerion Studios AB is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

2. The information Family Duuo uses

Family Duuo only uses information that is needed to provide the app’s household planning features. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• App identity and technical identifiers: a Firebase Authentication identifier used to securely associate you with your Family Duuo data.
• Household information: household name, household membership, display names, roles, pairing information and household settings.
• Responsibilities and activity: responsibility titles, assignments, recurrence information, completion state, due dates and related history.
• Shopping information: shopping-list items, quantities, categories, completion state and information about who added or completed an item.
• Family Duuo calendar information: events you create in Family Duuo, including title, date, time, notes and selected participants.
• Notification preferences: whether reminders are enabled and the time you choose for your daily overview.
• Device-calendar information: only when you grant permission and use calendar integration features.
• Camera or selected photos: only when you choose to scan a shopping note using the camera or photo library.

3. Why we use this information

We process information to provide and secure Family Duuo, including to:

• connect members of the same household;
• synchronize shared responsibilities, shopping lists and Family Duuo events;
• show each person information relevant to their day;
• schedule notifications and reminders you have chosen to enable;
• provide optional device-calendar and shopping-note scanning features;
• protect household access and prevent unauthorized use; and
• maintain and troubleshoot the service.

4. Legal basis

Where the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, processing is primarily based on providing the Family Duuo service you choose to use, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, and your consent where iOS permission-based features require it.

5. Firebase and service providers

Family Duuo uses Google Firebase services for app authentication, database functionality and cloud functions. Information needed for these features may therefore be processed by Google as a service provider on behalf of Omerion Studios AB under applicable data-processing terms.

The Family Duuo production environment is configured to use European-region Firebase/Google Cloud services where supported by the relevant service.

6. Device calendar

Device-calendar access is optional. Family Duuo asks for calendar permission only for features that need it. Depending on the feature you choose, the app may read calendar events for display inside Family Duuo or create an event in your device calendar when you explicitly choose to export one.

You can change calendar access at any time in iOS Settings. Denying access does not prevent you from using Family Duuo’s own shared calendar.

7. Camera, photos and shopping-note scanning

Camera and photo-library access is optional and used when you choose to digitize a shopping note. The app uses text-recognition technology to extract text from the image so that you can review and add selected items to your shopping list.

Family Duuo does not require access to your entire photo library to use its core household features. You decide when to provide an image for this feature.

8. Notifications

Family Duuo can schedule local notifications on your device for your personal daily overview and relevant Family Duuo calendar events. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings or through Family Duuo’s notification settings.

9. Sharing within your household

Family Duuo is a shared household service. Information you add to shared household areas can be visible to other members of that household. Only share a pairing code with people you intend to invite.

10. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Family Duuo household content for third-party advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers that operate infrastructure on our behalf, or when required by law.

11. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Family Duuo and maintain the integrity and security of the service. Shared content may remain available while the household exists. Some information may be retained for a limited period where required for security, legal obligations or backup integrity.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and to object to certain processing.

You can remove or change much of your household content directly in Family Duuo. For privacy requests relating to information that cannot be managed in the app, contact Omerion Studios AB.

13. Children and family use

Family Duuo is designed as a household organization tool. It is not designed to collect information from children independently without the involvement of a parent, guardian or other responsible household member. Adults responsible for a household should consider what information they choose to add about other household members.

14. Security

We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect Family Duuo data, including authenticated access and access controls for shared household information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should keep pairing codes private and protect access to their devices.

15. International processing

Our service providers may process limited technical or service information in locations outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for transfers of personal data.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Family Duuo changes or when legal requirements change. The current version will always be published at this URL with an updated effective date where appropriate.
